Second Wave's rolling out!

Well this is an awesome day! Why? Because the Second Wave frames are currently on their way to the distributors! Its even better because around this time 2 years ago, I spent 18 hours straight going through every frame from the first batch! I signed every box and looked through each frame for paint defects, crooked welds and improperly machined BB's and headtubes. It feels like so long ago, can't believe its only been two years. The Second Wave that will soon be arriving at the distributors is definitely a culmination of a lot of hard work! Just want to say thanks to everyone at Odyssey, George French, the team, everyone on the internet and of course the riders that support Sunday!

Now here’s my chance to remind you of the features:

- Proven hollow dropouts with a new shape and integrated chain tensioners.
- Double butted top tube and proven New Wave down tube.
- Tapered and butted chain and seat stays.
- Gusset and down tube welding style creates one of the strongest front ends ever.
- Head tube and Mid BB are machined after welding for a precision bearing fit.
- Angle cable guides and brake bosses for better cable alignment.
- Slimmed-down one-piece wishbone design is lighter AND stronger.
- 41-Thermal processed throughout.
- Black Magic rustproof coating inside and out.

Dimensions:
HT Angle 74.5 ST Angle 71 Rear End Length 13.75" BB Height 11.75"

Congratulations Jim. I'm stoked for you. Every year you make them better, not just a different paint job and a little tweak. They are beautiful.

The new integrated tensioners work awesome btw.

I always liked running tensioners since I do so many peg tricks but not bashing them on icepicks and the clean look rules.

The specs are the same as Ian frame, aren't they?

HT Angle 74.5 ST Angle 71 Rear End Length 13.75" BB Height 11.75"
Frame Sizes 20.5, 20.75 and 21 Max Tire Size 2.25 BB Style Mid
Headset Integrated

Please correct Jim if I'm not right

The 2.25" tire clearance is not a MAX clearance, but it can fit one quite easily. Other than that all of the above specs are correct. There will be a batch of 20"TT (not sure when) and I am not sure of anything over 21"TT at this point.

After waiting all this time, I just heard that the latest shipment from Odyssey arrived here but my frame didnt come. Looks like it got shipped a week before the frames were released. Soooo Bummed.

It's still the best frame around and I'll just have to wait longer.

Stick some extra stickers in with the frames for South Africa. Thanks.

I love all the new and inovative ideas, but why no integrated seat post clamp. They just make more sense to me, but is there a reason against them? Either way, can't wait till albes has them in so I can pick up that YZ blue model!
