Warm Red Second Wave!

Here it is, the latest color added to our Second Wave line up!  Warm Red accompanies blue, grey and Black Magic this year.  The story behind this color is that when I was growing up Brian Blyther was the man.  Easily the most casul and smoothest rider during that time period.  Sort of like Mike Aitken today.  Oh sure tricks could be learned quickly, but to learn to ride like him takes a lifetime.  Well, Brian Blyther rode a warm red/coral red frame for most of his time.  With that, we went and did a Blyther infuenced colorway for the Second Waves this year.  Warm Red is now available along with the rest of the 2009 line.  More photos below!

Did you consider going further with the tribute in having chrome plated rear ends?

    Would you consider it?

Make bigger sizes, not more colors.

Yeah I’d like to make some bigger sizes. Its just tough with our distributors, they want things that sell right away and bigger frames aren’t always sought over. It will take some time to sell them especially since we sort of have to make a good amount to make the manufacturer happy. Its a possibility because there has been way more interest in longer frames in the past year or so.

As for the the full tribute to Blyther, it would be awesome to do the chrome rear end, but those frames were chrome with paint over it. i could only imagine the complaints I’d get cause the paint would scratch so easy.

    thanks for the comments,
    jim

I need to see a warm red bike check! Also, the lack of colors that the Schwartz comes in is putting me off getting one, as I don’t want to have to paint it straight away. White and black are pretty average, though the yellow is a step in the right direction.

Maybe one day you could do some 2nd waves with a throwback to the original Sunday frame colors. I love the metallic gunmetal grey color my OG is, but her days are numbered due to too many dents.

Thats a HOT! HOT!! looking frame..

Reminds me of Blyther dropping footplants on the chainlink fence of the pipeline at the opening of Rad. He made alley oops look like butter. Another classic colorway to explore — the old Eddie Fiola yellow pro performers (before they “s”-ed out the down tube at the seat stay) trimmed out in royal blue and white…
