Funday Explained!

2/25/2009

Vital did a BMX Gear Guide video about the features of Aaron Ross‘s Funday frame.  I did all the speaking because Aaron is off in Thailand filming for a Props trip article there.  He’s fighting the heat, dehydration and a severe lack of sleep.  Did anyone see Aaron on the Blackout trip in the latest Props?  Super good!

Sunday Realy Do Make The Best Bikes IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!

  • AJ

i would get it because of the shorter rear end, but i dont like the lower bottom bracket

  • steve

    why no 75* headtubes yet?

  • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

No one on the team has ever requested it until recently. Aaron and Ian both never wanted it. Ian goes fakie so much that the steeper headtube angle would make him more unstable. Aaron just never felt it would be worthwhile. We might be able to do something by Interbike.

how much of a differnce can 74.5 to 75 headtube angle be? come on, suck it up

you would be surprised that half degree makes a huge difference. think as if you were playing limbo or something, and every little bit of your height(representing the steepness) tells whether or not you’re going to hit that bar, and when you hit it, if you had went that half inch lower. you would’ve made it. other words, that .5degree would throw some riders off, while others would like it, ya feel me? still riding the o7′ wave, British racing green. ha ha

on the other hand i watched this a second time, and I always wanted the funday to be broken down, and i thoguht about it, i might like that lower bottom bracket. I’m 5′ 11″. Props to Sunday and Jim. Great video
