Jim C Bike Check!

Check out this Warm Red Sunday Second Wave kit I built up recently.  It has 20.75 inch tube top length and the back wheel is run at 14 inches to provide me with a little extra comfort for bunnyhops and manuals.  I use Morning 2.1 forks and put Forumph bars on because the 4 degrees of upsweep feels better to me.  Click on the photo to see the full view and a bunch of closeups!  What do you think of the tires?  I’m way into them!

Nice bike. Why do you run RHD and grind on the right?

  • http://opcbmx.com Tim B.

those are just like the xs or schwinn tires from back in the day…..I loved em then and I love em now.

  • Ed

The seat hieght is a plus! I’m 36 and I came from the seatpost gneration. The color of this ride too much. Met Jim C when he was on Road Fools the Florida tour. Nice guy! Oh, and cruisers rule!

Hey Tom, I ride RHD on my grind side because LHD would get in the way for some grind tricks that I like to do. Plus I come from the old school where LHD just looks weird. Never felt like I should change, but that’s just my opinion.

The red sidewalls are common I guess throughout road biking and I think XS did it way back. I’m pretty stoked on it.

  • aj

jim, you say you run your rear end at 14 in ,
so what is a second wave slammed?

  • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

A second wave and an Ian slammed are 13.75 while an Aaron frame can go all the way down to 13.25.

  • AJ

hows that? wouldnt a second wave rear end slammed be like 13.5 or something

  • brandon

back end on a 2nd wave is 13.6 slammed. and yeah xs did redwalls they were called huckers. you could get them with kevlar in the tire casing.

  • aj

oh 13.6 is that with chain tensioners in? Bcuz i remember jim siad that with chain tensioners ur gonna have like 3mm of space in there

  • ives

That really looks kick ass man. I hope those tires go on sale soon. That’d be sweet
