more info on the cable guide, channel, and how it attaches please.

  • Jake

Make it in fluro yellow plz!

  • Dune

    HEEEAAAAVYYYYYY!!!!!

  • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

Tim-Cable guide and channel info will be coming soon.

Jake-I think you’ll have to paint it yourself. Those colors are sort of Funday colors.

Dune-Our goal has always been to make the best frame which balance weight, function, aesthetic and features. Not just make the lightest frame that will break underneath you.

  • Malcolm

Are their any plans to release anything other then the model d in top tube sizes over 21″?

  • vb

    lol @ calling it heavy, it’s 4.75lb

Is the CS 13.75″ slammed, or 13.6something slammed like the 2nd Wave?

  • toby

damnit – was hoping there’d at least be a 21.25″ :-( alot of companies are even doing 21.5″ these days…..

  • ramon

make it with integrated pivotal post, or put an integrated seat post clamp

  • KEV

are there going to be any other sticker designs for the 3rd wave?? these are kind of weak

  • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

The back end is the same as the Second Wave.

Toby-Please remember with today’s low slung top tubes that frame top tube lengths are even more misleading.

  • toby

How so ? If the head and seat angles are the same; the height of the top tube makes no difference…..In any case i was thinking mainly about the Fit Lurch which has a 9″ standover or a Macneil deuce Deuce which has a 8.7″ standover……the Mutiny Mystic and subrosa pandora which also have 21.5″ options are around 8.5″…..thing is; i want a sunday!

    • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

The distance measured from the bb to the headtube where the top top contacts it will be different than from the same point on the headtube to an inch below the seat post tube. As you move down the seat tube the distance gets longer. There’s an illusion of length going on.

  • VinceK

    ^^Same here! Sunday…must…have…please?!?!

  • Luke

    Hi Jim,

I’m running a 21.25TT Sunday 1st wave and it’s been brilliant over the last 3 years.

I’m very interested in the 3rd wave. Will these come out in TT sizes greater than 21 inch later?

Also, will there be some frames made that do not have removable brake mounts? I much prefer having my brake lugs welded to the frame.

Well done on a awesome company, team and innovative ideas. The only parts I run are Sunday/Odyssey, I just don’t trust anything else.

    Thanks Jim.

    • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

I think you’ll see a 21.25″ before you see welded on mounts. I know you don’t trust them, but Gary Young, Alex Magallan and myself all run them with no problems. It’s nice to sort of see the mounts become part of the brakes as opposed to the frame.

  • muffin man

Jim, these stickers are very un-Sunday! they’re more…. Monday?

honestly, they don’t look too good.

and why 5mm dropouts on the forecaster?

    • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

Really? The thing about Sunday is our thing is that we are open ended meaning that we want to be able to go in any direction. I like how the graphics are all over the place.

  • davy B

what do you think about adding neon green to the ltd colors?

  • Scottyb

the decals remind me of old freestyle days, like skyway. throw on some white mags on that bad boy!

  • Tanner in AZ

  • Ryan

About the decals…I was thinking Redline RL-20.

  • emmanuel

  • Rickk

the stickers look sick. needs an integrated seat post my Ian looks clean!!!!!!!!!

  • Jon

wats the diffrence between the second wave n this one

  • steve

When can I pick one up?

  • daryn dann

just an idea but what about wave chainstays ???? i always fuck mine up

    • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

We’ve thought about it, but there hasn’t been a good cheap way to do it. You might see it, but we aren’t sure when.

  • http://none jack

sticker designs are horrible ……they dont have the sunday flair at all ….

    • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

Sunday has always intended to be open ended. Meaning we can sort of go in any direction we want.

  • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

This one has removable mounts, Wave top tube and cable channel with removable cable guide. Those are the main differences.

  • Aaron

can you tell us the month that this will be in stores ?

  • butter man

i think the graphics work well with the crimped tube design, like some kind of 80s futurism deal. i don’t see what the fuss is about. y’all are just going to remove them anyway.

  • DUSTIN

send one 3rd wave to dons bikes in rialto please…..i need it…….

  • RADBMX

I’m so sick of denting both top and/or bottom tubes and breaking top and/or bottom tubes right at the headtube. So I’m very interested in either the 3rd wave or the Forecaster. What will the SRP be on these frames?

Also I noticed theres a quarter inch difference in BB height,so is 11.75″ higher or lower than 11.5″?The reason I ask is that I like more low slung frames but,I forgot how they messure BB heighth.

  • Jared

i agree flouro yellow and the stickers arent that great. make a large variety of colors please!!

  • moodyinsf

the sticker way is nice.”TRON style” sum may be to young for the first move but JimC is not so go buy a sunday and be happy…………. p.s. see the new TRON yo

  • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

I should probably see the old Tron first. When does it come out? All the frames, Third Wave, Funday and Forecaster will be in stores during the month of May. Not too far off. Get ready!

BB height is measured from the center of the BB to the ground.

u guys should make this frame in fire engine red like the odyssey parts.

  • Ian Bowles

I’ve never been able to dial in my chain. I’ve tried halflinks, diferent chains, and even diferent sprocket/hub setups. I’m totally sold on the integrated tensioners… Awesome. Removable brakemounts… awesome. Stickers… awesome. If you’re so worried about stickers ride your bike instead of looking at it. Sunday is tearing up the scene right now and rightfully so! Keep up the awesome work!

  • Aidan

    WHY?
SELL ME THE 2nd WAVE I DONT WANT THIS

  • Aidan

but since i love sunday so much i still bought this frame :D i love integrated chain tensioners!
a sort of off topic note: i jailbroke my ipod and its all sunday and odyssey, the icons, the background, everything! is nice!

  • brandon

the specs on the 3rd wave are the same exact specs of the 2nd wave besides the waved toptube right? i have a 2nd wave and i love it but i cant remember what the specs of it is and there no where to be found on the internet anymore. im curious just for when the day comes when i need a new frame, i wanna make sure that the 3rd wave coincides the 2nd wave. thanks

    • http://sundaybikes.com jimc

      Same specs Brandon!

  • Peter
