Aaron Ross just got nominated for the Ride BMX NORA Cup award for best video part of the year. He had the ender part in the newest Empire BMX video Bad Idea. If you haven’t seen it yet then pick it up HERE. Huge Congrats Aaron! If you haven’t seen all of Aaron’s new 2013 Complete Bikes then check them out after the break.
If you’re an Aaron Ross fan than today is your day. First, check out Aaron in this crazy Hot Wheels commercial filmed in January. Then make sure you look out for his new Fox edit which drops later on today. Also, word on the street is that the new Empire BMX video, Bad Idea, is on it’s way to duplicators right now.
Do you remember the Aaron Ross Etnies x Sunday collab bike from a few years ago? Well, Empire BMX is holding a raffle to give one away (shoes not included). All proceeds go to help Austin’s, Nina Buitrago, pay her medical bills that she received from getting a broken jaw last fall. Follow this LINK to enter. Watch the the Aaron Ross Triple Shot video right HERE.
So, who’s going to be in Austin on Saturday November 26th? If so, then I’d better be seeing you at the Empire BMX premiere of their newest video, Bad Idea, which features a full length video part from Aaron Ross. Their team is stacked and it’s filmed by Dave Parrick, so you know this is going to be good.
Gary Young had a great weekend here in Austin. Not only did he have a lot of fun at the Texas Toast Jam (just like everyone else), but he took him the win in Pro Dirt and the EmpireBMX Curved Wallride contest. Big Congrats go out to Gary!!! Here he is with the winning move, opposite wallride to 270 out. The wall was really weird and this was really difficult to do. First try! Thanks to Jeff Z and Ride for the photo. More Texas Toast coverage coming.
It’s been awhile since we’ve done a Sunday Friends, but this is Colby Mockler’s brand new Wave-C freshly purchased from Empire BMX. This bike couldn’t look much more tough! Colby might actually be one of the first people to own a Wave-C since it just arrived in shops last week. Can’t wait to see more Wave-C photos!
Get ready for this one. Aaron Ross shredding my two favorite local Austin area skateparks. He rides Round Rock on his new orange soda Funday then he rides Marble Falls on his Picnic bike. Filmed and edited by Devon Hutchins with help from Empire BMX and found on Defgrip! So good! Click the photo for the video.
Aaron Ross has been traveling for the last 2 weeks, but he’s making his return to Austin this weekend. Go over to Fat BMX to check out a full bike check of his watermelon Funday bike. Look for the frame, fork and bars available in about 2 weeks! Both Odyssey and Sunday will have bars and forks in the watermelon green! Get ready! Check out Aaron on this bike in the Empire Cake video.
Fluorescent Yellow Funday‘s have recently come available, so if you haven’t seen one in your local shop then have them give Sunday a call right away. If you don’t have a good local shop then call Empire BMX or Dan’s and they will be able to help you. In Canada, you will have to wait another week or so and the UK should have them now. These are will never be made again, so get it now!
Check out Ben Ward‘s Black Magic Model C built up with Black Magic 24umphs and Morning 24.1 forks. Wow! This looks so good! And with this being a 24″ frame with Black Magic then it weigh over a 1/4 lb less than a painted version. If you are looking for a Model C or our 20″ trail frame called the Model D in Black Magic then give Empire BMX a call. Or if you are a shop looking for one then give Sunday a call! Read more about Black Magic after the break.
