Sunday Completes are in the US!

Garrett Reeves came by the office to build up a new Black Magic Third Wave frame.  If you don’t know Garrett, you will definitely know him soon enough.  Some interesting things on his bike are the super tall bars and the fact that he runs a 14 inch rear end to prevent looping out.  His bike is super tough, while only weighing in at a mere 23lbs.  Look for new Sunday frames including the Third Wave, Watermelon Funday and a mystery frame available around the first week of April.

Aaron Ross has one of the brightest bikes in BMX.  Go over to Ride BMX and check out his most recent color combination!  If you were one of the few to get a fluorescent yellow Funday frame then consider yourself lucky.  Although it won’t be the same frame, look for a fluorescent yellow Funday complete coming early this spring!

The newest Weezer album entitled Raditude came out in stores yesterday and guess what?  The whole band is riding Sunday frames on the back cover!  Rivers Cuomo is in the middle on the ocean blue Funday, Brian Bell is on the green Second Wave, Scott Shriner is on the red Wave and Buffalo native Patrick Wilson is bunnyhopping on the silver Model C.  None of this could’ve been possible without Mark Lewman and DJ Greyboy.  I know we were all stoked when we found out the news this morning!

Ride BMX has my bike check up on their website.  Jeff Z took a bunch of good photos while we were on the Sunday Swine Flu tour after Interbike.  There isn’t too much new on the bike besides running a pivotal seat and post for the first time.  The frame is an experimental Funday with traditional dropouts and only heat-treating on the Wave downtube.  Not sure what will happen with this frame, but we just wanted to test out a lower priced frame and see how it would hold up.

Fluorescent Yellow Funday’s have recently come available, so if you haven’t seen one in your local shop then have them give Sunday a call right away.  If you don’t have a good local shop then call Empire BMX or Dan’s and they will be able to help you.  In Canada, you will have to wait another week or so and the UK should have them now.  These are will never be made again, so get it now!

Here are two bright Sunday ‘Funday’ Friends!  Keith Jones is the Ocean Blue Funday and Will Fisher is the Fluorescent yellow.  Will works at Core BMX in Toronto which hosted the Toronto Up, Up and Away premiere back in May.  Unfotunately, Will hasn’t even gotten to ride his bike yet due to a broken ankle.  Get well soon!  Nice job guys!
